The Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) is the apex body for the private sector in Kenya. KEPSA brings together local and foreign business associations, federations, chambers of commerce, professional bodies that are sectoral umbrella bodies and individual sectoral business membership organizations, corporates, from multinationals to large and medium- sized companies, SMEs, and start-ups from all sectors of the economy, across all parts of the country. This gives KEPSA a reach of over 2 million businesses directly and indirectly. KEPSA also serves as the national focal point of the East Africa Business Council (EABC), the umbrella body of businesses in East Africa. It hosts the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Kenya Chapter, a member of the ICC with a reach of over 45 million businesses globally.

Responsibilities
Position Overview
The officer will provide technical, analytical, and coordination support in advancing KEPSA’ s policy advocacy agenda. The role supports effective engagement between the private sector, government, and development partners through evidence-based policy input, strategic partnerships, and structured dialogue platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Policy Research, Analysis & Advocacy
Develop high-quality policy briefs, position papers, and sectoral analysis to inform KEPSA advocacy engagements.
Collect and integrate member inputs into structured policy recommendations and memoranda to government and regulatory bodies.
Track emerging economic, regulatory, and sectoral trends and provide timely advisory notes to inform KEPSA leadership.
Stakeholder Engagement & Sector Coordination
Coordinate and support engagement with KEPSA Sector Boards, government ministries, and development partners.
Coordinate structured dialogue forums, sector roundtables, and high-level policy engagements.
Resource Mobilization & Partnerships
Identify and support the development of innovative resource mobilization strategies, including donor engagement, partnerships, and funding proposals.
Develop concept notes, proposals, and engagement frameworks for retreats, dialogue series, and strategic programs.
General Administrative & Support Functions
Support continuous improvement of internal coordination systems and operational efficiency.
Undertake any other duties assigned in line with the organization’s strategic objectives and role expectations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Political Science, Business, or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in policy research, advocacy, or stakeholder engagement.
Strong research and analytical skills, with ability to translate data into clear policy recommendations.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Familiarity with Kenya’s policy and regulatory frameworks.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
