Requirements
  • Strong technical knowledge of maintenance systems (electrical, plumbing, solar, HVAC).
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices in maintenance operations.
  • Proficiency in record-keeping and reporting.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.


Responsibilities

Team Coordination:

  • Assign and monitor tasks for mechanics and maintenance staff.
  • Conduct daily briefings to discuss priorities, issues, and plans.
  • Be available on the radio to assist with maintenance tasks.

Inspections:

  • Inspect lodge facilities for maintenance needs.
  • Check key systems - water treatment, generators, solar system, HVAC, electrical panels.

Repairs and Maintenance:

  • Assist with and oversee urgent repairs (e.g., plumbing leaks, electrical issues).
  • Ensure equipment and vehicles are in working order.

Service Contractors:

  • Coordinate, facilitate, and monitor subcontractors to ensure timely, high-quality work aligning with the lodge’s standards.
  • Schedule activities, provide access to relevant areas, verify completed work, and maintain communication between subcontractors and the lodge.

Logistics:

  • Monitor fuel levels for generators and vehicles.
  • Monitor gas levels in bulk tanks and portable bottles.
  • Ensure tools and consumables (light bulbs, plumbing parts, etc.) are stocked.

Record-Keeping:

  • Update logs for completed work, equipment usage, and issues resolved.
  • Complete all required daily dips and recordings.
