Description
Reporting to the Commercial Manager (functional) and Hypermarket & Procurement Manager (administrative), the Trainer – Non-Food (Household) will deliver internal training to Trade Marketers, Sales Representatives, Team Leaders, and Category Managers, as well as external training to retail partner staff. The scope of this role is strictly training delivery, certification, learning material development, and capability building.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field.
- Certification in Training & Development, Instructional Design, or Adult Learning is an added advantage.
- 3–5 years’ experience in training, coaching, or capability development, preferably in FMCG or Non-Food retail environments.
- Experience in electronics, appliances, or general merchandise retail training is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Deliver internal training to commercial staff on Non-Food categories, merchandising standards, FIFO, planogram execution, and reporting discipline.
- Conduct external training sessions for retail partner staff (supermarket linesmen, store assistants, and specialty retail outlets).
- Prepare bi-weekly training schedules aligned with new SKUs, product activations, compliance gaps, and seasonal campaigns.
- Develop and maintain training materials including manuals, merchandising guides, sales scripts, and digital content.
- Conduct post-training assessments, maintain certification records, and provide structured feedback to Category Managers.
- Submit reports including training schedules, attendance, certification, assessment results, external training coverage, and knowledge base updates.
