Key Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the relevant discipline using appropriate and innovative pedagogical approaches.
  • Prepare course outlines, instructional materials, assessments, and examinations in accordance with University policies and academic standards.
  • Facilitate an engaging and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success and academic excellence.
  • Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
  • Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback on coursework and examinations.
  • Participate in curriculum development, review, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure program relevance, quality, and alignment with industry and disciplinary developments.
  • Participate in program assessment, accreditation, and quality assurance activities as required.
  • Contribute to departmental, school, and university committees, meetings, and other academic activities as required.
  • Participate in community engagement and professional service activities that enhance the University’s mission and visibility.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Dean or the University from time to time.

Minimum Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience

  • A PhD in the relevant discipline from a recognized and accredited university, or
  • A Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of two (2) years of university-level teaching experience.
  • A strong record of scholarly research and publications.
  • Proficiency in the use of educational technologies and Learning Management Systems (LMS) for teaching, learning, and assessment.

  • Excellent knowledge of the subject area and ability to design, deliver, and assess high-quality learning experiences.

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
