At James Finlay Mombasa, we are accelerating our business intelligence and digital automation capabilities. We are seeking an exceptional AI & Business Intelligence Analyst to bridge the gap between enterprise data and cutting-edge artificial intelligence. In this high-impact role, you will build intelligent AI agents, streamline business workflows, and extract actionable financial and operational insights directly from our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP ecosystem


The Job Holder

Reporting to the Finance Director, the job holder will be expected to leverage ERP data, AI automation, Power BI, and Dynamics 365 Business Central data and generate business insights and analytics reports that help to improve financial, operational, and commercial decision-making.


Key Responsibilities.

  • Design, build, fine-tune, and deploy autonomous AI agents, prompt frameworks, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) applications to automate routine workflows and boost employee output across departments.

  • Extract, clean, and analyze complex datasets from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to deliver clear commercial insights across finance, Commercial, supply chain, and operations.

  • Build dynamic, executive-grade Power BI dashboards and financial reports to track KPIs, margins, cash flow trends, and inventory performance.

  • Collaborate closely with accounting, finance, and operational teams to translate complex business problems into automated, data-driven solutions.

  • Implement strict data governance policies ensuring AI tools and models operate securely without exposing proprietary ERP or customer data.


Minimum requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, or a quantitative discipline.

  • A specialized certification in Azure AI / AWS Machine Learning.

  • A Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate and Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant

  • 3–5 years’ experience in data analytics or AI development, with at least 1–2 years working directly within enterprise ERP environments.

  • Strong coursework background in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Commerce is highly preferred.

Professional Skills

  • ERP Platform: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (data schema, OData APIs, Power Platform / Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot Studio).

  • AI Frameworks: Demonstrated experience building or integrating AI agents using frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or Azure OpenAI services.

  • Programming & SQL: Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL. Familiarity with AI is a distinct advantage.

  • Visualization: High proficiency in Power BI for executive reporting and interactive data storytelling.
