Key Responsibilities:
Business Development Manager Faith-Based Sector
Support implementation of the sector strategy across the branch network to drive business growth and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with AML/KYC, CTF, and all regulatory and bank requirements.
- Drive growth of deposits, current accounts, collections business, and digital financial services within the sector.
- Manage onboarding, relationship management, and service delivery to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities while deepening existing client relationships.
- Oversee customer portfolio management and provide advisory support to clients and Relationship Managers.
- Monitor sector trends and opportunities within Churches and Faith-Based Institutions locally and internationally.
Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to Relationship Managers and support development of sector champions across the network.
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in commerce/business related field/Theology
Masters is an added advantage
10 years in leadership Exposure (Have Served as a Bishop/Pastor/Priest/Catechist/Reverend within the last 3 years
Licensed minister.
Training or practical experience in Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) frameworks.
Key skills and Competencies:
Deep understanding of Faith‑Based Institutions (churches, dioceses, trusts, NGOs, schools, health facilities)
Ability to structure tailored financial solutions aligned to religious governance and values
Strong sector relationship management with clergy, bishops, trustees, councils, and boards
Strategic planning and execution of sector‑wide delivery and growth initiatives
Coordination of multi‑unit and multi‑subsidiary execution across the Bank and Group
Strong knowledge of core banking products: deposits, lending, transactional and digital banking
Working knowledge of Insurance solutions (life, medical, asset, clergy/employee schemes)
Understanding of Investment & Wealth products (unit trusts, endowments, institutional investments)
Ability to integrate Equity Group Foundation programs (financial literacy, social impact, empowerment) into client value propositions
Proven business development and cross‑sell capability across multiple licenses
Strong pipeline development, deal structuring, and portfolio growth skills
Sound understanding of risk, compliance, KYC, AML, mandates, and borrowing powers
