Description

Support the planning, coordination and execution of Airtel Kenya’s corporate
communications, media relations, internal communications, CSR and
sustainability initiatives.


This role is responsible for ensuring effective stakeholder management, project
coordination, content development, event management, reporting and
administrative support to enhance Airtel Kenya’s Corporate reputation, brand
visibility and social impact agenda.


Manages and re-enforces corporate and brand position internally and externally by
managing company events/activities. Provides innovative direction on
youth-oriented activities and initiatives to meet company goals. Manages and
controls pre-defined budgets and produces operational documents as maybe
required. Maintains good relations with event Partners and Suppliers so as to
achieve the event objectives. Liaises with relevant internal departments when
necessary. Monitors the successes and provides key learnings of event, visits
various markets and adapts success stories.

Activities (Detailed KPIs)

Corporate Communications

· Support implementation of Airtel Kenya’s Corporate comm. Strategy.

· Coordinate development & dissemination of material including press releases, briefing notes,
internal magazines, stakeholder updates etc

·Monitor media coverage and maintain such reports

·Supports media engagement activities including press conferences, interviews, briefings

·Develop content for internal and external communication channels.

·Support crisis communication preparedness through monitoring and issue escalation.

· Maintain a data base of photographic and videography files of company related events.

Internal Communications

·Coordinate employee communication initiatives and engagement campaigns.

·Develop and distribute internal communication materials.

·support planning and execution of employee events, leadership engagements and town-halls.

·Manage content updates for internal communication platforms.

CSR & Sustainability

· Coordinate planning & implementation of CSR and sustainability projects.

· Liaise with NGOs, Government agencies, Community groups and implementation partners as required.

· Track project timelines, budgets, deliverables and impact metrics.

· Coordinate beneficiary engagements, project launches and handover events.

· Maintain CSR project documentation and impact reports.

· Support development of sustainability reports and requisite ESG related disclosures.

Stakeholder Engagement

· Coordinate and attend stakeholder meetings and engagement activities as required.

· Maintain stakeholder database and contact records.

· Prepare stakeholder engagement reports and follow up actions.

Monitoring, Reporting & Administration

· Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports on communications and CSR activities.

· Maintain records of media coverage, CSR investment & stakeholder engagements.

· Monitor achievement of departmental KPIs and prepare performance dashboards.
