County Relationship Officer – Innovation & Community Engagement (47 Positions)

About the Role
Technopolis Association of Kenya is recruiting 47 County Relationship Officers—one in each of Kenya's 47 counties—to serve as the face of the Association within their respective regions.
This is a relationship-driven role suited to individuals who enjoy building partnerships, engaging communities, and supporting entrepreneurs to succeed.
As a County Relationship Officer, you will identify, onboard, engage, and support innovators, startups, SMEs, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem stakeholders while ensuring they derive maximum value from the Association's programmes, partnerships, digital platforms, mentorship opportunities, and innovation ecosystem.
You will also play a key role in strengthening county innovation ecosystems and promoting innovation-led economic development.
Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement & Member Growth
- Recruit, onboard, and support entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs, innovators, and ecosystem stakeholders.
- Promote Technopolis programmes and encourage active participation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members and strategic partners.
- Serve as the primary contact for members within your county.
Member Onboarding & Success
- Conduct onboarding sessions and guide members through platform registration.
- Support members in accessing programmes, mentorship, funding, networking, and business support opportunities.
- Monitor member engagement and provide ongoing support.
Partnership Development
- Build partnerships with county governments, universities, TVETs, innovation hubs, incubators, financial institutions, private sector organizations, and development partners.
- Represent the Association at exhibitions, networking forums, entrepreneurship programmes, and innovation events.
Community Building
- Coordinate networking events, workshops, mentorship sessions, and ecosystem engagement activities.
- Facilitate collaboration between entrepreneurs, mentors, investors, and ecosystem partners.
Customer Experience & Reporting
- Deliver exceptional member support and resolve enquiries professionally.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, membership data, activity reports, and track county performance indicators.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university.
At least 1–2 years' experience in one or more of the following:
- Relationship Management
- Customer Success
- Community Engagement
- Business Development
- Account Management
- Membership Management
- Sales
- Entrepreneurship Support
- NGO Programme Delivery
- Customer Service
- Relationship Management
Experience within innovation, technology, entrepreneurship, startups, development, financial services, recruitment, or SME support will be an added advantage.

- Willingness to travel within the assigned county.
County Deployment
One County Relationship Officer will be recruited in each of Kenya's 47 counties.
Applicants must indicate their preferred county of deployment in both their CV and cover letter. While preferences will be considered, deployment may be based on organizational needs. Familiarity with the preferred county, existing professional networks, and flexibility to serve elsewhere will be an added advantage.
