About the role
- The Cybersecurity Trainer will facilitate practical learning across core security concepts, tools, and professional practices. The trainer will create safe lab experiences, mentor learners through security projects, and connect technical lessons to realistic organizational risks and controls.
Key responsibilities
- Teach networking security, threat analysis, ethical hacking, incident response, and governance
- Design and supervise practical labs, simulations, and learner assessments
- Guide students on ethical, legal, and professional cybersecurity practice
- Keep training materials current with emerging threats, tools, and standards
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with security tools, Linux, networking, vulnerability assessment, and incident response
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, CCNA Security, or CISSP are an advantage
- Experience facilitating technical training or mentoring learners
- Strong communication, documentation, and classroom management skills
