ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN (KRONES BEVERAGE MACHINES)

Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will responsible for the installation,

commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Krones' electrical

and automation systems within bottling and packaging processing machinery. This

role requires in-depth electrical and mechanical knowledge, strong problem-solving

skills.

Key Requirements

Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics

or automation Engineering.

3- 5 years’ hands on experience in a beverage or FMCG

environment preferably working with Krones bottling systems

Understanding of Siemens
PLC, HMI panels, Servo drives, Sensors and Conveyor systems

Experience in maintaining NitroHotfill fillers, labelers and shrink wrappers

Ability to conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance with

minimum supervision

Willing to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays

as needed.

Technical Skills:

Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical

schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.

Ability to set up and operate specialized and standard test

equipment.

Knowledge of industrial control systems, sensors, actuators,

and control circuits.

Experience with frequency inverters, servo drives, and bus

systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Commissioning:

Install and commission Krones machines, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards.

Check power systems and wiring, ensuring proper lockout/tag out procedures are followed.

Verify machine components functionality and establish proper product flow.

Startup process control systems and network Krones machines and lines.

Commission and troubleshoot bus systems (e.g., AS-Interface, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet, Powerlink, CANBus).

Commission and troubleshoot frequency and servo inverters (e.g., Danfoss FC series, SEW Movidrive and Movigear, B&R Acopos).

Parameterize camera systems and interfaces between Krones machines and third-party systems.

Troubleshooting & Repair:

Perform hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on Krones machinery to ensure optimal functioning.

Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and automation faults in a logical and professional manner.

Troubleshoot, modify, or edit Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs (e.g., Siemens S7, TIA Portal, and Allen Bradley ControlLogix).

Conduct audits and documentation of missing or bypassed safety devices, replacing or repairing as needed.

Attend to breakdowns telephonically and physically.

Maintenance & Optimization:

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machinery and systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficient operation.

Conduct overhauls and upgrades as required.
