FINANCE OFFICER

About the Role

KuwaPay is looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our growing fintech team. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in financial services, mobile money, telecom, PSP, or payment-related operations. Cross-border payment experience will be an added advantage.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant finance experience.
• Experience in a financial institution, mobile money operator, telecom operator, PSP or payment related company.
• Good understanding of mobile payment-related taxes and general corporate tax obligations.
• Familiarity with KRA communication, government payment deadlines, statutory filing dates, and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication skills when dealing with banks, operators, KRA, and external partners.
• Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and excellent time management.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile company transaction records, including bank statements, internal system records, and channel/operator statements.
• Communicate with banks, mobile money operators, payment partners, and KRA when required.
• Follow up monthly collection details, settlement reports, VAT invoices, and supporting documents.
• Calculate payroll and handle statutory payments, including social security, health insurance, payroll taxes, VAT, and other applicable government fees.
• Support tax compliance and ensure statutory filings and payments are completed on time.
• Handle any other finance-related duties as required by the company.

Important Note

This role requires someone who can work independently and manage strict deadlines. Government filings and payments are time-sensitive and delays may result in penalties.
