Role summary
- The Head of School leads RVIBS's School of Creative Arts. The role covers everything taught in the School, building programmes the market values, and connecting students to the creative industry.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the School of Creative Arts, its trainers and its facilities
- Strengthen existing programmes and develop new market-driven long and short courses
- Build partnerships with creative businesses, production companies, agencies, brands and funders
- Create internships, attachments, industry projects and placements for students
- Lead practical projects, productions, exhibitions and showcases, including the Talent Club
- Mentor trainers and students and keep standards of practical learning high
- Support marketing, enrolment growth and the School's visibility
- Promote creative entrepreneurship and commercially viable projects
- Track performance, quality and student outcomes
Qualifications and skills
- Diploma or degree in Film/TV Production, Media, Journalism, Fashion, Design or a related creative field
- Relevant industry, teaching or programme-management experience
- Proven leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Understanding of how the creative market works and how creatives earn
- Good digital media and technology skills
- Experience in industry partnerships, programme development or creative enterprise is an added advantage
