Description
The job holder is responsible for protecting Bank premises, assets, visitors, and personnel. The officer will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all unlawful or inappropriate actions with an overall objective of detecting, deterring, observing, and reporting. The officers shall be available at the assigned duty station in order to mitigate against acts that may interfere with the delivery of the Bank’s mandate.
• Ensure the safety and security of all assets of the Bank including third party assets in the custody of the Bank and ensure that the movement of cash, other assets and goods is done in accordance with the laid down procedures;
• Monitor and control access points into Bank premises by both human and vehicular traffic;
• Conduct physical and electronic surveillance;
• Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences;
• Report in detail any suspicious incidents and activities;
• Randomly and regularly patrol Bank buildings and perimeter;
• Conduct surveillance using the approved technology and methodologies e.g. CCTV;
• Investigation of internal policy violation and suspicious incidents by members of staff;
• Handle safely emergencies as they occur.
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE
• KCSE Minimum Grade of D + (Plus).
• For those interested in the position of Security Driver, one must be a holder of a valid driving license for a minimum period of seven (7) years.
YEARS AND NATURE OF EXPERIENCE
• At least five (5) years’ experience in the disciplined forces
• Current or previous attachment to the CBK security detail for at least three (3) years, is an added advantage
