Locum - Radiographers

Main Duties:

• Responsible for preparing the room and equipment for patient examinations.
  
• Taking x-rays/performing radiological examinations as prescribed by a medical practitioner.
  
• Assisting the radiologist perform special examinations e.g. barium meals.
  
• Processing x-ray images, documentation and dispatching.
  
• Ensuring that examinations are carried out in consistency with the procedure protocols,
  
• patient conditions, physical abilities and age requirements
  
• Maintaining a radiological register of patients.
  
• Maintaining the consumables register
  
• Participating in the planning and execution of the department CME
  
• Providing image intensifier services when required
  
• Providing radiographic services in Cath-lab.
  

Required Qualifications for the Position

• Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences or BSc Radiography.
  
• One (1) – Three (3) years working experience.
  
• Registered and licensed by the Kenya Nuclear Radiological Authority (KNRA).
  
• Registered, up to date member of the Society of Radiography Kenya (SORK).
  
• Hands-on experience in MRI and CT
