Part-time Senior Lecturer - Capital Markets & Investments (NSE Partnership Lead)

Job Objective

We are seeking a qualified finance/economics professional with strong academic credentials, publications, and experience in securities markets, market data, and trading platforms.

Duties and responsibilities

• Teaching course units as allocated by the Chair of the Department.
  
• Designing, developing, planning, and delivering a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels.
  
• Delivering high-quality lectures.
  
• Reviewing course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
  
• Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes, and the development of research activities.
  
• Carrying out research and writing research grant proposals.
  
• Seeking and participating in consultancies.
  
• Presenting research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.
  
• Disseminating research outputs.
  
• Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
  
• Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
  

qualification and experience

• PhD in Finance/Economics (or Master's plus CFA/CPA-K and 5+ years' industry experience)
  
• At least 3 years of teaching/research experience at the University level as a Lecturer/ Research Fellow.
  
• Experience with securities market data and trading platforms.
  
• Has evidence of attending and contributing at academic conferences, seminars and workshops.
  
• Attracted research funds.
  
• Supervised at least two (2) postgraduate students to completion.
  
• Has evidence of publications as a Lecturer/Research Fellow.
  
• Is up to date with industry standards.
  
• Is a member of a relevant professional body.
