Pharmaceutical Technologist III

The Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) is seeking a Pharmaceutical Technologist III to join their team in Nairobi. The role involves preparing and dispensing medications, advising patients on proper use, managing pharmaceutical supplies, and maintaining accurate records. The successful candidate will also support community health activities and ensure compliance with Pharmacy and Poisons Board guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and provide medications in accordance with prescriptions and standard practices.
• Advise patients on the proper use of prescribed medications.
• Monitor and replenish medical and pharmaceutical supplies in the pharmacy or medical stores.
• Maintain accurate records of pharmaceutical inventory and ensuring stock levels are sufficient.
• Adhere to the Pharmacy and Poisons Board guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist in community health activities like immunization campaigns or distribution of health supplies.
• Handle routine documentation, such as filling out requisition forms and managing patient files where needed.

Required Qualifications

• Academic Diploma in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized training institution
• Professional Registration with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board PPB
• Professional A valid practicing licenses
