The Job holder
Reporting to the Senior Human Resource Manager will oversee all Environmental Health and Safety matters. Will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing policies and programs aimed at promoting a safe and healthy working environment while also ensuring environmental protection. Work to ensure compliance with occupational safety laws and regulations, develop and implement safety and environmental policies, conduct risk assessments, and promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship within the organization including implementing programs and trainings to mitigate risks. The job includes developing strategies for waste management, emissions reduction, and resource conservation, as well as addressing ergonomics, air quality, and other factors affecting human well-being within the workplace.

Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, occupational Health & Safety related courses i.e. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
Working knowledge of EHS Management systems (ISO 45001:2018)
Work experience of 3 years in Environment Health & Safety in a busy environment
Working knowledge of relevant labour legislation & regulations; OSHA, WIBA, accidents/Incidence investigations etc.
Good interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
Self-motivated, passionate, and able to work with minimum supervision.
With good problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP System preferably Navision
Excellent inter–personal and communication skills.
Must be a team player.
Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
