PRINCIPAL SECURITY OFFICER, KICD GRADE 5
Description
(i) Coordinate and oversee security and safety matters at KICD, including implementation and
review of security policies, procedures, standards and operational measures.
(ii) Develop, implement and review the Institute’s security risk management framework,
disaster management and emergency preparedness programmes, and annual security audit
plans.
(iii) Conduct periodic security reviews, inspections and audits to assess compliance with
established standards, identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate security and risk
mitigation measures.
(iv) Coordinate security intelligence, investigations and management of security incidents, and
liaise with relevant security agencies and authorities on investigations, prosecution and
other security matters.
(v) Develop and implement measures to prevent unauthorised access, protect Institute
personnel, assets and facilities, and enhance overall security and safety.
(vi) Supervise and monitor contracted security officers and ensure effective deployment,
performance, discipline and compliance with KICD security requirements.
(vii) Liaise with relevant security agencies to facilitate training, capacity building and professional
development of security personnel.
(viii) Coordinate the preparation and submission of periodic security reports, including quarterly
reports, and provide recommendations on emerging security risks and required
interventions.
(ix) Maintain accurate security records, incident reports, audit findings and other relevant
security documentation to support monitoring, accountability and decision-making.
(x) Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the supervisor in
