Procurement & Contracts Intern (GIZ Office Nairobi)

Internship in the Procurement Unit at the GIZ Country office
Tasks
With the guidance and assistance of the Procurement & Contract Officers, the candidate will ensure the below tasks are dispensed:
Coordinate with colleagues from Somalia office and assist in printing files for signing.
Assist on sending of open protocols to Tender Opening Committee (TOC),
Liaise with the customs officer on the filing of import documents upon project confirmation of receipt.
Carry out a check on completeness of contract files and update them where necessary under the guidance of Contract and Procurement Specialists.
Assist with data alignment as per need
Assist in handing over of files to finance.
Assist in location of completed files in the store whenever requested for audit.
Take minutes during department meetings
Assist in other administrative duties upon request.
Required qualifications, competences and experience
Qualifications
Just completed within one year, a Diploma in Supply Chain Management or a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or any other relevant field.
Background experience or knowledge in procurement and procurement principles.
High proficiency in the use of ICT technologies and computer applications.
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational competence
Able to work in a multicultural environment
Good coordination competencies and ability to multi-task
Excellent command of English & Somali.
