Project Accountant

Requirements/ qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  
• CPA II or its equivalent
  
• A minimum of progressive experience in project accounting for at least 2 years.
  
• Relevant experience in auditing or financial management is desirable
  

• Preparation of schedules for donor reporting.
  
• Retrieval and compilation of supporting documentation for donor reports.
  
• Review of financial reports and documentation submitted by sub-grantees or implementing partners.
  
• Providing guidance to implementing partners on financial compliance.
  
• Processing of partners advance liquidation and updating the same in financial systems.
  
• Facilitation of project audits including retrieval of supporting documentation.
  
• Preparation of donor funds requests.
  
• Performing project system updates including setting up codes and posting of new budgets and budget adjustments.
  
• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports.
  
• Other related tasks as assigned.
