Registered Nurse II Grade IX

Duties and Responsibilities:

An officer at this level will perform nursing duties which entail:

• Administering prescribed drugs and medications to patients;
  
• Maintaining accurate records of all drugs administered;
  
• Treating minor ailments within established clinical protocols;
  
• Participating in patient triaging to prioritize medical care;
  
• Counselling staff, patients, and clinical clients;
  
• Assessing patients’ clinical needs for nursing services.
  

Requirements for Appointment (Job Specifications):

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

• A Diploma in Nursing (or a comparable qualification) from an accredited examination body;
  
• Registration with a relevant professional body;
  
• A valid practicing license from the relevant professional body;
  
• A minimum of three (3) years’ relevant work experience in a busy clinical/hospital setup.
  

TERMS OF SERVICE

The Terms of Service for the positions shall be Permanent and Pensionable. However, the Terms of Service for the position of Chief Internal Auditor shall be on five (5) years contract renewable once subject to performance.
