Resident Civil Engineer

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from a recognized institution.
  
• Registered Graduate Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK); Professional Engineer registration will be an added advantage.
  
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil and structural engineering projects.
  
• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and structural analysis tools.
  
• Solid understanding of local and international engineering standards and codes.
  
• Strong project management and cost control skills.
  
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.
  
• High integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and safety.
  

• Design, plan, and oversee construction and maintenance of civil engineering projects including roads, buildings, bridges, and drainage systems.
  
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and technical analysis for proposed projects.
  
• Prepare engineering drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications in line with design standards.
  
• Supervise construction works to ensure compliance with design, quality, and safety requirements.
  
• Liaise with architects, contractors, surveyors, and other professionals to coordinate project execution.
  
• Prepare progress reports, cost estimates, and material schedules.
  
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  
• Support tendering and contract administration processes, including review of engineering documentation.
  
• Recommend innovative and sustainable engineering solutions that enhance project efficiency and longevity.
