Description
The Security Officer is responsible for protecting the company’s assets by preventing theft, damage, misuse, or sabotage while ensuring a safe and secure operating environment. The role involves working closely with law enforcement agencies, developing and implementing security awareness and emergency response programs, and confidentially managing all security-related information. With a strong understanding of the company’s operations, the officer supports staff and stakeholders through continuous sensitization on security matters.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Safeguard security of company assets against theft, pilferage, damage, misuse or sabotage.
2. Liaise with law enforcement agencies to ensure effective execution of security services.
3. Sensitize internal and external customers on matters of general security.
4. Develop and implement security awareness training programs.
5. Receive and deal with any information that has a security dimension in a confidential manner.
6. Develop and implement programs and procedures to address emergency situations

Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree Security management or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
2. Four (4) years' work experience in security services or relevant function.
3. Thorough understanding of company business.
4. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
5. Attention to detail.
6. High levels of integrity and ethics.
7. Drive for results and achievement.
