This SRMA position is stationed in Nairobi. The incumbent may also be required to travel to other duty stations from time to time. He/she is primarily responsible for design and maintenance of digital security risk management SRM) tools, databases and electronic mapping.



The position holder is responsible for:

  • Maintaining the SRMO IDA SharePoint

  • Creating and maintaining SRM digital mapping (Situation Map as well as HRE)

  • Maintaining all MS SharePoint-based “travel tracking” and “presence lists”

  • Acting as the SRM S4Guide for S4GIZ under the guidance of the SPOC

  • Acts as the SRMO’s Emergency Mass Notification System (EMNS) manager

  • Managing all SRMO databasing and post-SRM training feedback

  • S4GIZ Guide and ISO compliance for SRMO

  • Preparing and dispatching staff Identity Cards


In this context, the technical professional performs the following tasks:


A. Tasks

1. Core Scope of Tasks

  • HRE: Supports Office SFPs in maintaining all the personnel and vehicle lists on HRE Plans;
  • HRE: Creates and maintains HRE digital mapping according to Senior SRMA’s guidance;
  • Maintains the SRMO Situation Map in accordance with Senior SRMA’s guidance;
  • Collecting and reporting on Student Feedback immediately after all SRM trainings;
  • Databasing: Maintains an efficient SRMO trainings database and attendance statistics;
  • Databasing: Processes / databases digital Checklists after Country Security Briefings (CSB);
  • Acts as single point of contact for INSO and other external security analysis contractors;
  • Supports in all matters relating to SRMO contracts and procurement when required;
  • Substitutes for and when required, deputises for Deputy Head of SRMO in liaising with SRM training contractors, including processing of post-training documentation and invoices;
  • Maintains the SRMO IDA SharePoint unit page and the KfW and Partners’ security portal, so that security reports and SRM tools are logically arranged and intuitively accessible;
  • Maintains and backs-up MS SharePoint Lists for “travel tracking” and “presence monitoring”;
  • Maintains the Online Travel Notification (OTN) tool ensuring that Power Automate enables the efficient flow of information to travellers and the SRMO;
  • Ensures the International Presence Lists (IPLs) for seconded staff and GIZ visitors are current;
  • Ensures all data processes are GDPR-compliant; EMNS manager: responsible for database management, staff onboarding, troubleshooting, training and conducting bi-monthly Headcounts including follow-ups with non-responders;
  • When required, substitute as Emergency Point of Contact in KISUMU and KAKUMA/LODWAR;
  • Maintains a close working relationship with the GIZ Kenya Digital Partner (DiPa), Information Security officer (ISO) and IT staff;
  • Acts as S4Guide in SRMO, proactively ensuring the team transitions to S4GIZ seamlessly;

  • Creates and dispatches staff ID cards as required;
  • Prepares and delivers trainings on SRMO digital tools and processes as required by S-SRMA.
