These are your qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Public Health, Rehabilitation Sciences, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years' experience managing complex health or development programmes.
  • Experience across multiple health areas; experience with digital health tools or health information systems is an advantage.
  • Experience in directly line-managing programme teams.
  • A proven track record in donor engagement and proposal development.
  • Experience representing organisations in global and policy forums, including with the UN, governments, and donor roundtables.
  • Knowledge of policy frameworks, sector standards, and practices in at least one of the three IHI health areas.
  • Proven experience in project cycle management, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and budgeting.
  • Strong partnership management, coordination, team leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multicultural settings.
  • Excellent English language skills; knowledge of French or Spanish is an added advantage.
  • A demonstrated commitment to disability inclusion and safeguarding principles.
  • Identification with the mission, values, and mandate of CBM


You Will:

  • Set the multi-year strategic direction for the IHI portfolio, including resource allocation, risk management, and innovation priorities across Eye Health, Ear & Hearing Health, and Physical Rehabilitation.
  • Provide strategic oversight of participatory project design processes in assigned countries, including the development of logical frameworks, budgets, and implementation plans.
  • Ensure high-quality programme delivery, robust monitoring, and effective evaluation processes.
  • Ensure the IHI strategy is reflected in the development of CBM country plans and aligned with the Inclusive Health Initiative Strategy.
  • Directly line-manage, mentor, and performance-review IHI Portfolio Managers, providing strategic guidance and setting priorities.
  • Lead proposal development, including programme design, budgeting, and donor negotiations, working closely with IHI Portfolio Managers to incorporate country-level programme inputs.
  • Oversee initiative-level programme monitoring, including cross-country synthesis and strategic reviews.
  • Track programme outputs across the Initiative and ensure corrective actions are implemented across all IHI countries.
  • Develop programme and Board-level reports and leadership briefings.
  • Coordinate IHI partner engagement and represent the Initiative in key programme and sector forums.
  • Promote cross-sector collaboration and integrated approaches to inclusive health programming.
  • Champion safeguarding, disability inclusion, and high standards of programme quality.
