The GIZ’s “Analysis & Risk Unit” (ARU) advises relevant projects in the areas of context

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Power Platform applications; familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or others) and collaborative data management systems (e.g. KoboToolbox or others) is an asset.

  • Business-fluent (minimum B2 on the CEFR scale) in English; working knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a diverse, intercultural team spread out across multiple countries and time zones.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  • Curiosity and creativity in exploring new analytical methods and data sources.

  • Good communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

  • High degree of professionalism, discretion and understanding of data protection and ethical data use principles, especially in fragile and conflict-affected contexts.
