Investment Analysis & Research
Conduct financial and market analysis to identify investment opportunities and emerging risks.
Evaluate investment proposals, securities, and counterparties to support informed decision-making.
Track economic, industry, and capital market developments that may impact portfolio performance.
Prepare investment analysis and reports for management review.
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and supervise members of the investment team.
Assign responsibilities, monitor deliverables, and ensure timely completion of investment activities.
Promote analytical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
Risk, Compliance & Reporting
Ensure investment activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and approved risk limits.
Monitor investment risks and escalate significant exposures or deviations to management.
Prepare periodic portfolio performance, investment, and market reports.
Support investment committee meetings through relevant analysis, presentations, and recommendations.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with Finance, Actuarial, Risk, Treasury, and other relevant functions on investment-related matters.
Maintain professional relationships with fund managers, financial institutions, investment advisers, and other market participants.
Requirements EducationBachelor's Degree in:
Finance, Economics, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, Investment Management Or a related discipline.
A professional qualification such as CFA, CIS, ACCA, ICAN, or related certification is an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience in investment management, portfolio management, financial analysis, treasury, or a related investment function.
Previous experience supervising or leading an investment team is preferred.
Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, portfolio management, and risk-return principles.
Experience within the insurance, pension, asset management, banking, or broader financial services sector is preferred.
