Develop and execute regional sales plans for vegetable seeds, achieving agreed sales volume, revenue, profitability, and collection targets.
Identify new markets, customers, distributors, agro-dealers, and institutional opportunities; build a strong sales pipeline and convert qualified opportunities into business.
Develop key accounts across B2B, B2C, commercial farming, and institutional segments; prepare accurate sales forecasts and support inventory and procurement planning.
Monitor sales performance by crop, variety, pack size, customer, and territory.
Appoint, develop, and manage distributors, agro-dealers, and other channel partners; improve product availability and visibility across priority vegetable-growing areas.
Identify market gaps and recommend suitable varieties for different production zones; monitor competitor varieties, pricing, promotions, and market positioning.
Support product launches and expansion into new territories.
Provide customers with technically sound information on vegetable varieties, including maturity, yield potential, fruit quality, disease tolerance, climate suitability, planting recommendations, and market requirements.
Collaborate closely with agronomists to set up demonstration plots, product trials, and field days.
Conduct technical presentations and product training for farmers, distributors, agro-dealers, and sales teams.
Collect field-performance data, customer feedback, and market intelligence; support variety positioning based on verified agronomic performance.
Build strong, long-term relationships with commercial growers, farmer groups, cooperatives, agro-dealers, and distributors.
Provide prompt technical and commercial support throughout the crop cycle; resolve customer concerns professionally and coordinate technical investigations when needed.
Maintain regular customer visits and document opportunities, feedback, and follow-up actions.
Submit weekly and monthly sales, collection, pipeline, and market development reports; maintain updated customer, distributor, and product-performance records.
Collaborate with supply chain, marketing, agronomy, finance, and regulatory teams; ensure all activities follow company policies, seed regulations, and ethical business practices.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, Seed Technology, or a related field.
5–7 years of successful experience in vegetable seed sales, business development, or commercial horticulture.
Strong technical understanding of vegetable crops and seed varieties; practical knowledge of vegetable production systems, crop management, and major pest and disease challenges.
Established relationships within the seed, horticulture, agro-dealer, or commercial farming sector will be an advantage.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory; valid driver's license (where applicable).
