Business Hub Dispatch Officer

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering;
• Over 3 years’ Experience as an operator in Technical Operations.

Technical competencies:

• Technical knowledge and understanding of the Business Hub networks & infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of principles and power distribution operations
• Good knowledge of materials used in electrical power systems.
• Safety and basic standard protection
• Personal safety on the job awareness level.
• Understanding of electrical distribution Regulations and system.

Job Description

• This job role directs the switching operations within the Business Hub to manage the energy allocated in line with SLA.

Job Duties

• Directs the operation of all Network Activities in the Business Hub.
• Maintains daily operating log on all operations both routine and emergencies.  
• Receive hourly load readings from the Control Room and report all operations to the regional dispatch.
• Approves outages on 11kv feeders.
• Liaises with relevant stakeholders in load coordination.
• Prepares periodic and ad-hoc reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Perform any other duty as requested by the Technical Engineer or the Supervisor.
