Education and qualifications:
A Master of Public Administration or an MBA is highly desirable, but the minimum requirement is a university degree in management with a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience, ideally acquired within international organizations.
Any relevant professional training or certification will be considered an additional benefit.
Key skills:
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Strong analytical skills that include good attention to detail.
- A good working knowledge of English will be an additional asset
- Good knowledge and working experience with labor regulations and government administration in the DRC.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Ability and experience to work in a diverse and multicultural environment with multiple nationalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly.
Responsibilities
Station administration:
- Supervise station operations, finance staff, IT department, travel department, procurement and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with organizational procedures and practices and recommend changes as needed.
- Maintain accurate records for all functions and administrative services.
Financial management:
- Approve financial transactions and review monthly temporary advance reports.
- Prepare, manage and monitor the station's operating and cost recovery budgets.
- Supporting scientists in managing their budgets.
Facilities and supplies:
- Manage procurement operations, maintain records, and produce monthly reports.
- Oversee the management of facilities, including building construction, maintenance and vehicle operation.
Liaison with the government and the outside world:
- Assist the resident representative in liaising with the host government.
- Engage directly with officials in the host country on issues relevant to the station's operations.
Safety and compliance:
- Ensure that safety measures, including fire protection and security protocols, are in place in laboratories and offices.
- Assist in initiating medical evacuations as needed.
Services d'assistance :
- Organize the station's activities related to research and scaling-up programs, ensuring their proper execution.
- Collaborate with regional center and headquarters service units to coordinate the operational support needed at the station.
- Support the human resources department in managing annual leave, travel expenses and accommodation allowances for international staff, and in conducting periodic surveys.
Strategic advice and planning:
- Advise scientists and the resident representative on administrative and management matters.
- Contribute to the development of the station's capital investment plans.
