Experience and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
  

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in credit operations, microfinance, or field-based lending
  

• Strong experience working with VSLAs, SACCOs, or group lending models
  

• Proven track record in portfolio management and loan recovery
  

A. Credit Portfolio Management & Risk Control

• Oversee the full lifecycle of bicycle loans—from appraisal and disbursement to repayment and closure.
  

• Maintain a high-quality loan portfolio, ensuring PAR >30 days remains below 3%.
  

• Conduct credit assessments for both individual and group-based loan products.
  

B. Program Implementation & Scale-Up

• Lead the rollout and expansion of the bicycle financing program across the assigned districts.
  

• Drive achievement of program targets, including bicycle distribution and VSLA enrollment.
  

• Identify growth opportunities and recommend strategies to increase uptake and efficiency.
  

C. Sales Leadership & Market Development

• Champion bicycle financing as a key product within the VSLA ecosystem.
  

• Work with DCEs to generate and convert leads into financed bicycle sales.
  

• Monitor sales pipelines and ensure consistent conversion rates across regions.
  

D. DCE / CBT Supervision & Capacity Building

• Directly supervise and support at least 20 Community Agents/DCEs.
  

• Deliver structured training and refresher sessions on:
  

• Credit products
  

• Sales techniques
  

• Customer engagement and transparency
  

• Track individual DCE performance and enforce accountability.
  

E. KYC, Data Integrity & Systems Management

• Ensure 100% KYC compliance for all financed customers.
  

• Oversee accurate and timely digital capture of customer and loan data.
  

• Maintain clean, reliable portfolio data for decision-making and reporting.
  

F. Reporting, Monitoring & Performance Tracking

• Prepare and submit bi-weekly performance reports covering:
  

• Sales performance (by district and DCE)
  

• Loan portfolio performance (repayments, PAR)
  

• KYC compliance
  

• VSLA onboarding progress
  

• Key risks, challenges, and mitigation actions
  

• Track progress against program KPIs and recommend corrective actions.
  

• Contribute to periodic impact reporting and documentation of success stories.
  

G. Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as the primary field-level focal point between Ensibuuko and Buffalo Bicycles Uganda (BBU).
  

• Participate in review meetings and provide operational insights to inform program decisions.
  

• Support monitoring and evaluation activities, including field verification visits.
