The on the job training programme is aimed at achieving the following objectives:-

  • To provide hands-on working experience to diverse professionals interested in pursuing a career in the tourism and hospitality industry.
  • To provide an opportunity for young graduates to get relevant skills, to combine work and learning and to reduce the school to work transition gap while improving productivity and employability of young people.
  • To allow the hospitality sector to contribute to the development of locally grown skilled workers thereby reducing the cost of doing business through retraining and or employing foreigners.
  • To actively engage employers in training as part of ensuring that graduates possess skills relevant to the labour market requirement in the tourism sector.

Requirements

  • Applicants must hold qualifications in Tourism, Leisure and Hospitality from a recognised University or Institution.
  • Applicants should have completed their studies between 2020 to 2024 and are unemployed.
  • Applicants are advised to specify only one specific trade of interest.
