Qualifications & Experience:

1. Must have a first or second upper class in Bachelor’s degree not more than five (5) years ago in the following disciplines; Social Work, Governance and International Relations, Public Administration, Political Science, International Relations, or a closely related field.

2. Enrolled in, or demonstrated commitment to enroll for, a Master's degree in Social Work, Governance and International Relations, Public Administration, Political Science, International Relations, or a closely related field. Candidates who have completed a relevant Master's degree, or are in the final stages of completing one, will have an added advantage.

3. Promise of skill and effectiveness in teaching and advising students.

4. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills.

5. Must have excellent computer skills.

6. Must be able to learn, adapt, and be flexible in an office and classroom.

7. Must be able to work independently and as part of a wider team.

8. Must be self-motivated, teachable, willing and able to learn, and a team player

Duties:

1. Teach the allocated workload in a semester

2. Prepare assessment tools and marking guides accordingly

3. Teach and assess students in accordance with the University’s Curriculum

4. Must be present for all lecturers

5. Should attend to students’ academic needs and also offer advice.

6. Must be available for departmental, academic and administrative meetings

7. Should be willing to uphold the University’s instruments of Identity
