Requirements
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture; or Crop Science; or Agricultural Economics from recognized University/Institution and a minimum of a post graduate qualification in Agriculture; or Crop Science; or Agricultural Economics from a recognized University/Institution. A post graduate qualification in Management or Administration will be an added advantage.

- Providing technical guidance in formulation, review and implementation of agrochemical control policies, legislation, regulations, standards, strategies and plans;
- Enforcing legislation, regulations and standards on agrochemicals;
- Creating awareness on agrochemical legislation and regulations;
- Establishing and maintaining plant quarantine facilities and laboratories;
- Establishing and operationalizing collaborative mechanisms with national and international organizations on technology generation, standard setting, regulation and certification of agrochemical control;
- Building capacity of service providers/inspectors on agrochemical control;
- Establish, operationalize and maintain database on regulation and certification of agrochemicals control;
- Building capacity of service providers/inspectors on agrochemical control;
- Establishing, operationalizing and maintaining database on regulation and certification of agrochemicals control;
- Training and gazette agriculture inspectors;
- Conducting pest risk analysis (PRA)
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
