Purpose

· Drive
direct bookings, increase occupancy rates, and build brand trust for the
apartment property online.

· Reduce
dependence on Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) like Airbnb/Booking.com by growing
direct website + social traffic.


Responsibilities

Key
Responsibilities

1. Paid Ads for Bookings: Run
Meta + Google Ads targeting travelers, expats, NGO staff, business travelers.
Focus on “Book Now”, WhatsApp clicks, and website conversions. A/B test photos
+ copy — great photos sell apartments.

2. OTA + Listing Optimization:
Manage Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia listings. Optimize titles, descriptions,
photos, pricing, reviews. Push “direct booking” via website to save commission.

3. Website + SEO: Keep
booking site updated with photos, rates, availability. Target keywords like
“fully furnished apartments Kampala”, “short stay Bukoto”, “monthly rental
Bukoto”. Basic SEO + Google Business Profile.

4. Social + Content:
Create content showing lifestyle, not just rooms — kitchen, workspace,
security, fast WiFi, neighborhood. Reels/tours work best. Partner with travel
influencers/expats in Kampala.

5. Reviews + Reputation:
System to get 5-star reviews on Google, Airbnb, Booking.com. Respond to all
reviews. Reputation = bookings in this space.

6. Email/WhatsApp CRM:
Capture leads from website/IG. Send offers for low-season, monthly discounts,
corporate rates. WhatsApp broadcasts work well in UG.

7. Analytics:
Track occupancy %, direct vs OTA bookings, cost per booking, ROAS. Report
weekly to management/owner.

Skills
& Qualifications

Education:
Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Hospitality, or related. Google/Meta certs +
advantage.

Experience: 1-3
years in hospitality, real estate, or e-commerce marketing. Must understand
“bookings” not just “likes”.

Technical: Meta
Ads Manager, Google Ads + GA4, Airbnb/Booking.com extranet, WordPress/website
CMS, Canva, basic photography.

Soft
Skills
: Visual eye for photos, fast copywriting, proactive,
detail-oriented with calendars/pricing, guest-focused mindset.

Personality
Fit

Needs to be proactive + committed — empty apartments don’t

of performance is visible daily in occupancy rates.
