To Support young women, young people, communities, and their organizations at local and national level to build resilience, engage public officials and instructions to respect civil liberties and be accountable for provision of quality a timely social service.


Requirements

Qualifications:

• A University Degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, or equivalent from a recognized institution; a post graduate qualification in any of the above disciplines will be an added advantage.

Experience:

• At least 1-2 years of relevant working experience from a recognized institution, preferably an NGO

Applications should be strictly sent by email to [email protected] clearly addressed to The Finance and Operation Manager, ActionAid International Uganda, not later than Friday 10th May 2024 by 1:00 PM.


• Coach and mentor staff in different analytical packages aimed at holding governments to account, and seeking improvements in the quality, equity, and gender-responsiveness of public services and other forms of social injustice.

• Train different community groups on the basics of advocacy, communication, and campaign.

• Train and mentor community groups on identification of issues, planning and advocating for the issues.

• Train and coach, the different communities on post campaign evaluation – counting success, citing failures, and flagging out opportunities for next level engagements.

• Conduct training and capacity building drives on Movement Building and Social Accountability.

• Convene monthly mentorship and coaching sessions with community groups to support learning acquired to trigger action and practice.

• Support youth and social movement structures in the process of documenting evidence.

• Support youth and social movement structures on best practices of engaging political and technical leadership.
