Education and Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree in Social Sciences or Humanities
  • Relevant experience within the Education sector
  • Experience working in a Customer Service role
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in managing students preferably in the higher education industry/at a business school
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Professional telephone manner combined with a high level of spoken and written English
  • Excellent team player with the ability to negotiate and compromise whilst taking into account the views of others
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver against a number of priorities
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • A kind, empathetic, open-minded individual who has a deep-seated respect for all people
  • An individual who will enthusiastically communicate the school’s values, mission, programs, and educational philosophy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Job Description

  • Assists with the planning and development of a set of goals and objectives for the student affairs unit in conjunction with the University’s strategic planning. Implements goals and objectives.
  • Coordinates and administers student support to enrolled and prospective students, such as course registration, graduation processing, petitioning, withdrawals, program documentation, computer accounts, information sessions, receptions, and student orientations.
  • Counsels and confers with students providing program procedures, policies, goals, and objectives, technical guidance, and problem resolution. Directs students to appropriate advisor or departmental manager.
  • Provides coordination of program activities for students regarding departmental services.
  • Identifies target groups in consultation with academic and student affairs departments/programs for student recruitment on and off campus; makes visits to appropriate groups.
  • Initiates, develops, and sustains strong positive relations with program coordinators and departmental leadership to ensure achievement of the mission and goals of the business school.
  • Reviews students support initiatives to ensure student, faculty, and administration needs are met.
  • Maintains student records on database, creates and provides reports. Provides contact point for enrolled and prospective student information.
  • Assists with accreditation review; coordinates logistics, scheduling and related matters.
  • Develops or assists in the development and production of program advertising, promotional flyers and related recruitment initiatives.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings, professional development seminars and other student support related meetings.
  • Implements student recruitment initiatives and participates in the evaluation of such initiatives.
  • Assists in providing cross training to program staff as required.
  • Facilitates exchanges programs.
