Engagement: Short-term freelance consultancy
Location: Remote

About the Project
We are building a multi-country freelance and consultant workforce to support an AI content safety and language project for a global technology company.
We are looking for an experienced Freelance Regional Recruiter to lead recruitment across Latin America. Unlike traditional permanent recruitment, the talent being hired will primarily be freelancers and consultants engaged for the duration of a specific project, task or work package.
The recruiter will support several hiring priorities, from specialist policy and research profiles to larger pools of language, content evaluation and localization talent.
Countries
Latin America: Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Colombia and Costa Rica
Key Responsibilities
Own sourcing and recruitment of freelancers and consultants across the assigned countries and project roles.
Proactively source talent across Trust & Safety, content policy, AI/data projects, content moderation, language services, localization and related fields.
Identify relevant local talent pools, employers, freelance communities, professional networks, job platforms and other sourcing channels in each market.
Screen candidates for relevant experience, country/language fit, project availability, rate expectations and willingness to undertake short-term assignments.
Build qualified primary and backup talent pipelines across multiple countries and hiring priorities.
Coordinate candidates through assessments and selection, maintaining accurate pipeline data and flagging country-level sourcing challenges or gaps.
Work closely with the internal Talent Acquisition team to meet fast-moving recruitment and onboarding timelines.
What We're Looking For
3+ years of recruitment or sourcing experience, with strong hands-on direct sourcing capability.
Demonstrated experience recruiting across multiple countries within Latin America.
Experience recruiting freelancers, consultants, contractors or project-based talent is strongly preferred.
Experience supporting short-term or rapidly scaling projects, where talent needs to be identified, assessed and onboarded quickly.
Previous exposure to AI/data projects, Trust & Safety, content moderation, localization, language services, policy/research or similar talent pools is a strong advantage.
Strong understanding of regional talent markets, local job platforms, professional communities and freelance networks.
Ability to manage both specialist/niche searches and higher-volume recruitment simultaneously.
Strong direct sourcing, market-mapping and candidate outreach skills.
Comfortable discussing project duration, availability, freelance rates and short-term engagement expectations with candidates.
Strong English communication skills; relevant regional languages are an advantage.
Able to work independently, manage multiple country searches and deliver against tight timelines.
Profiles You Will Recruit
Recruitment will span several project workstreams, including:
Country Content Safety & Policy Specialists — Trust & Safety, policy, regulatory/legal research, public policy and digital safety professionals.
AI Safety Language Evaluators — native-language specialists evaluating and classifying content against defined policies.
AI Safety Content & Prompt Specialists — language and content specialists developing culturally relevant prompts and responses.
Localization QA Linguists / Translation Reviewers — localization, translation review, linguistic QA and machine-translation post-editing specialists.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means being able to quickly understand a requirement, map the relevant freelance talent market, find and engage qualified people, establish their availability and commercial expectations, and move them rapidly into the assessment and onboarding process.
We are particularly interested in recruiters who already have networks of freelance or project-based talent and understand that building a project workforce requires a different approach from permanent recruitment.
Performance will be measured primarily on the quality, relevance and speed of qualified, interested and available candidates delivered, rather than CV volume.
Engagement
This is itself a short-term freelance recruitment engagement supporting a time-sensitive international project. You should be available to start immediately and able to dedicate meaningful capacity to recruitment during the project period.
Prior experience recruiting freelance/consultant workforces for AI, data, localization, Trust & Safety or content projects will be a significant advantage.
