GIZ is a federally

Government in achieving its international cooperation policy goals through
sustainable development projects.

In Tanzania and the East African Community (EAC) region, GIZ works closely
with governments to advance development in areas such as health, water,
biodiversity, governance, human rights, and economic growth.

As an international cooperation enterprise for sustainable development with
worldwide operations, the federally owned Deutsche Gesellschaft für
Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the German Government in
achieving its development-policy objectives.

The GIZ Country Office is looking to recruit an Intern to support the procurement Unit.

Duty station: Dar es salaam

Fixed term contract

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Maintain procurement records and ensure proper
    documentation and filing system (both physical and electronic files).

  • Support the harmonization of procurement
    records between physical and electronic files.

  • Ensure compliance with procurement procedures
    and rules.

  • Provide administrative support to the
    procurement team as required.

Qualifications:

  • A
    student or graduate of bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain
    Management, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Basic
    knowledge of procurement procedures, contract terms, and vendor management.


  • Strong
    organizational and documentation skills.

  • Good
    communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency
    in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
