Description
Reporting to the Financial Controller the Store Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of our
fast-moving security equipment store. In this role, you will be the all-rounder responsible for the complete lifecycle of our critical inventory—from uniforms and PPE to high-value technical security equipment (CCTV, alarms, access control devices). You will lead a team, ensuring strict adherence to inventory controls, fostering a culture of accountability, and providing analytical insights to prevent shrinkage and optimize stock levels for our field operations
Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Stores Management
● Supervise, mentor, and schedule a team of store keepers, ensuring workload is balanced and
deadlines are met.
● Foster a culture of right-first-time & accuracy, ensuring the team understands the critical nature of
issuing correct technical gear and uniforms.
● Conduct daily toolbox talks to address specific challenges, safety protocols, and stock
discrepancies.
● Manage the allocation of resources to meet the demands of a fast-paced environment with
multiple internal stakeholders (technicians, project managers, HR).
2. Inventory Control & Compliance
● Institute & Enforce Controls: Implement and strictly enforce cycle counting procedures etc.
● Technical Inventory Management: Oversee the specialized storage, testing, and issuance of
sensitive technical equipment (e.g., DVRs, motion sensors,cables, tools).
● Shrinkage Prevention: Act as the gatekeeper for inventory accuracy.
● Investigate and report root causes of discrepancies (damage, theft, misplacement) and
implement corrective actions immediately.
● Audit Readiness: Ensure all stock movements (GRN, Issuance, Transfers,Returns) are
documented in the system in real-time to maintain a clean and auditable trail.
3. Analytical Oversight & Reporting
● Analyze stock movement patterns to identify fast-moving uniform sizes or technical spares,
providing data to management for reordering.
● Monitor slow-moving or obsolete stock and recommend write-offs or redistribution.
● Generate and interpret weekly and monthly reports on stock valuation, turnover rates, and
accuracy percentages.
● Use data to forecast potential stock-outs that could impact security operations and flag them
proactively.
4. Process Optimization & System Management
● Manage the Inventory Management System (IMS) / ERP, ensuring all team members use it
correctly.
● Identify bottlenecks in the receiving or issuance process and propose streamlined solutions.
● Coordinate the return of used or faulty equipment from the field.
5. Physical Security and Housekeeping
● Ensure the store is organized,safe and compliant with Health and safety regulation(especially
regarding the storage of batteries or heavy equipment))
● Maintain the physical security of the store,controlling access to high value technical items
● Conduct regular inspection to ensure uniform bins are organized by size/type and technical gear
is stored in appropriate condition
