Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- The HR Officer / Administrator shall provide the operational and administrative backbone of Jawabu Biashara HR function.
- The role owns HR operations, including:
- The full employee lifecycle.
- Employee records, systems and data integrity.
- Payroll and statutory compliance.
- Performance and development administration.
- Training and HR reporting.
- Employee relations, policy & culture.
- Benefits, vendors & budget.
- The full employee lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business, or a closely related HR discipline. IHRM membership (or eligibility) required.
- Minimum 2–4 years of progressive HR operations/administration experience, preferably in a growth-focused lending entity.
- Hands-on ownership of payroll processing, including statutory remittances (PAYE, NSSF, SHIF/NHIF).
- Experience with HRIS/payroll platforms (Wingu Box or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of Kenyan labor law and statutory compliance.
- Strong MS Office Suite/Google Sheets skills and records/tracker management/data analytics skills.
- Finance or accounting exposure is an added advantage, given sole ownership of payroll and statutory remittances.
- High ethical standards with unquestionable integrity and confidentiality.
