Description
CURE International is seeking a Nurse Aid/Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of a registered nurse, provides hands-on care to patients admitted to the hospital.
- Maintains patient's stability by checking temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, height and weight.
- Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients’ calls and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing on duty.
- Prepare, serve meals, and feed patients if necessary.
- Bathe and dress patients.
- Make beds and perform light housekeeping duties in the patient's room.
- Take patients for scheduled walks.
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms or other locations as necessary.
- Provide skin care.
- Set up equipment.
- Ensure that supply closets are stocked and cleaned.
- Observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report abnormal patterns to nursing staff.
- Observe and record fluid intake and output.
- Develop nurturing relationships with patients and their families.
- Empty bedpans and change dirty linens.
- Report violent behavior.
- Follow proper procedures for lifting and moving patients.
- Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
