Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager, HR Operations is responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant and high-quality delivery of HR Operational services across the Bank. This role supports the Manager HR Operations and Employee Relations in the implementation of HR Strategies and policies, oversees core HR administrative functions including employee records management and compliance. The position plays a critical role in optimizing HR processes, driving service excellence and ensuring adherence to both internal policies and Kenyan Labor laws.
Assist the Manager HR Operations & Employee Relations to coordinate all HR related operations issues
Review HR Policies and Procedures to ensure the HR Policies and Procedures are up to date
Conduct regular HR Audits and coordinate all HR Compliance related issues
Staff Union Matters; Coordinate all issues relating to Union staff including participating in CBA negotiations under the guidance of the Head of HR
Staff Medical; Manage Staff Medical issues including coordinating the renewals and ensuring the medical loss ratio is within the required level.
Staff Offboarding; Handle the staff offboarding issues from preparing exit letters, ensure staff exits process is adhered to, preparation and payment of final/terminal dues to issuance of certificate of service.
Staff Records Management: ensure both physical and electronic staff records are up to date and handled as per the requirements including as per the Data Protection Act
Leave Management; Ensure leave plans are in place for all departments and staff at the beginning of the year, ensure leave monitoring, adhere to the leave requirements such as Employment Act requirement of block leave, expected leave uptake and that leave liability is within the expected levels for each year.
To prepare periodic reports relating to HR Operations which could be weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual.
Coordinate with the HODs for Quarterly, Half year and Annual appraisals of their teams.
Keep records of appraisals for the Bank wide staff.

Job Specification
Education
Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field
Member Institute of Human Resources Management of Kenay (IHRM)
Post graduate qualifications in HR such as CHRP certificate or equivalent qualification desirable
