Description
To provide professional mortuary services, ensuring collection, documentation, and preparationof deceased bodies (including embalming) while maintaining high standards of hygiene andsanitation of facilities and equipment in the funeral home.
Key Qualifications and Experience Requirements
ii. Responsive, prompt and effective provision of services.
i. Certificate in Mortician course or equivalent from a recognized institution.
ii. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Mean Grade D (plain) or equivalent qualification
from a recognized institution.
iii. Proficiency in computer application.
iv. Compliance with Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.

v. Ethical practice and professional integrity.Reporting to the Head of the Funeral Home, the position holder will be responsible for the
following:
i. Undertaking admission of bodies to the mortuary.
ii. Facilitating transfer of deceased patients to the mortuary.
iii. Documenting and recording of data.
iv. Identifying medico-legal cases.
v. Preparing of bodies for burial including embalming.
vi. Cleaning and dressing of bodies.
vii. Cleaning of mortuary and equipment and instruments used in the mortuary.
