Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes
  • First Degree in Human Resources, Humanities, or any related discipline from a reputable institution.
  • Relevant professional certifications i.e. PHRI, SPHRI or GPHR is mandatory.
  • Membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria.
  • Minimum of 15 years cognate post qualification experience. In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and ERP software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport across various stakeholders and effectively communicate and interact with top level management.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory and people management skills.
  • High sense of responsibility, accountability, integrity, and ethical standards.

Job Description

  • The Human Resource Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resource management, including talent acquisition, employee's relations, performance management system, learning and development and compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Duties

  • Implement performance management systems to ensure clear performance expectations and provide feedback for employee development.
  • Oversee all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, and employee relations.
  • Lead talent acquisition efforts to attract and retain top talent, including developing recruitment strategies, conducting interviews, and negotiating job offers.
  • Develop policies and administer employee benefit program.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulation and maintain best practices.
  • Manage employee relations issues, conflict resolution, disciplinary action and grievance procedures.
