Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • Professional qualification in Accounting such as ACCA, CPA.
  • At least 6 years work experience preferably in financial services, Management Consulting or value for money auditing/evaluation.
  • Technical and practical skills in accounting and Finance.
  • In depth understanding of short, medium and long term strategies, goals and objectives setting.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble and analyze Retail/Corporate data as well as Macro, Industry and market specific data into information and avail to management in a timely fashion for strategic, tactical and operational requirements.
  • In charge of reviewing and challenging Retail capital investment projects to ensure viability, consistency with Business unit and overall Bank’s strategy, monitoring post implementation of the projects for the delivery of committed benefits.
  • Get involved in the budgeting and forecasting process for the Retail domain providing analytical support of drivers and processes of the plans. This involves provision of historical individual and business performance facts necessary for objective performance goal setting that drives Retail Business performance.
  • Provide monthly detailed analysis of actual achievements against budgets/forecasts both at individual (branch managers/relationship managers) and segment levels. This involves clear articulation of NII and NFI mover for price, volume, product mix and currency depicting the trend and forward looking.
  • Provide detailed monthly analysis on channel performance including profitability analysis for Branches, Card acquiring (ATM, debit cards, Credit cards), Agency Banking, Bancassurance among others.
  • Design models for tracking cost of serving customers at different Retail channels to drive efficiency and value for money. This includes determination of cost per transaction, cost per customer served, cost per revenue generated etc. at each channel.
  • Provide leadership in driving for correct customer segmentation in different systems to aid in effective product performance analysis.
