2.  Required experience and skills in cyber security and vulnerability.

3.  At least 5 years experience in ICT support, wide and local area networks including experience with common-carrier data networks.

4.  5 years in a heavy networking environment. Network management and information systems security management

5.  Knowledge of Windows Server Administration (ADDS, DNS, Group Policy, DHCP, hyper V, Windows backup, etc.)

6.  Knowledge and experience in Linux Systems and server administration

7.  In-depth knowledge of computer network system protocols (IP addressing, TCP/IP networks)

8.  Experience in managing and troubleshooting UGANDAEMR (OPENMRS), LAN, Servers, computers, and Information systems.


Responsibilities

8.  Experience in managing and troubleshooting UGANDAEMR (OPENMRS), LAN, Servers, computers, and Information systems.


1. Install, configure, operate, and maintain servers using the most recent technologies.

2.  Install and configure Windows Server 2016 and above, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Windows Server backup, file server, etc.

3.  Maintain and ensure timely renewal of software licenses and other online subscriptions used at ROM.

4.  Design, install, operate, and monitor the computer LAN, WAN, and internet across all ROM sites.

5.  Design, install, configure, and manage system security across ROM sites i.e. Firewall security management (Spam filtering, Web Application Filtering, Web and Application Firewall, State full Packet Inspection)

6.  Network design and installation of Switches, access points, and routing configuration.

7.  Internet monitoring and firewall configuration (Bandwidth management, VPN management, etc.)

8.  Manage online, offsite, and offline backups using available systems, cloud-based servers, and databases.

9.  Ensuring availability of IT strategic work plans, policies, and procedures for smooth operation across ROM.

10.  Antivirus administration: central antivirus server and endpoint management

11.  Computer hardware management including performing onsite repairs, component replacements like RAM, hard disks, etc., and liaising with vendors for repairs of equipment that cannot be repaired on-site.

12.  Manage inventory of technology hardware, software, and resources and develop and maintain IT documentation.

13.  Coordinate and run daily, weekly, and monthly full or incremental internal offline backups as well as planning for backup rotations.

14.  Install and configure new equipment and printers to the required standards including those accessed on the network.

15.  Ensure all IT resources are secured both physically and logically
