Requirements

  • Diploma in Public Health Nursing2Under graduate

  • Advanced Diploma in Public Health

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

  • At least three (3) years’ experience at the level of Nursing Officer.

  • Strong management, communication, and interpersonal skills, high integrity and a community service ethic.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

  • At least three (3) years’ experience at the level of Nursing Officer.

  • Strong management, communication, and interpersonal skills, high integrity and a community service ethic.


  • Coordinate the provision of technical support related to Public Health Nursing to the Referral Hospitals and Districts.
  • Monitor implementation of policy on public health nursing.
  • Promote equitable deployment of public health nurses in Referral and NGO Hospitals
  • Monitor the performance of Public Health Nurses in Referral and NGO Hospitals.
  • Participate in the Ministry quality assurance programmes.
  • Develop work plans and budgets.
  • Monitor implementation of standards and guidelines relate to public health nursing.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
