Requirements
- Must have a bachelors in Electrical engineering
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in power system operations.
- Experience in use of SCADA systems is an added advantage.
- Strong Leadership and good interpersonal skills
- Report writing skills
- Ability to work in shifts and extended hours beyond normal working hours.
- Possess strong analytical and good communication skills
Responsibilities
1. Supervision of power system controllers on duty
2. Monitor and support power system controllers for efficient frequency and voltage management
3. Analyze system incidents and provide decision support to power system controllers
4. Undertake real-time system analysis prior to undertaking shutdowns
5. Monitor power exchanges to ensure delivery of scheduled DAM trade volumes and undertake intra-day market decisions based on real-time available generation and demand
