Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following Natural Sciences: Forestry; or Environment; or Environmental Science; or Agriculture; or Botany/ Zoology and a post graduate Qualification in any of the above fields or related field from a recognized University/ Institution. A post graduate qualification in Management and or Administration will be an added advantage
Applicants should have a minimum of six (6) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been served at the level of Senior Climate Change Officer in Government

Applicants should have a minimum of six (6) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been served at the level of Senior Climate Change Officer in Government
- Supporting management of national climate change actions (Mitigation and adaptation) in Uganda;
- Monitoring implementation of mitigation and adaptation activities and updating the relevant stake holders;
- Providing technical support on climate change issues;
- Supporting initiation, development and review of appropriate policies, laws and programs necessary to ensure effective implementation of adaptation and mitigation activities;
- Supporting implementation of adopted policies as well as decisions made by the relevant bodies of Government;
- Acting as the National Focal Point for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and its Kyoto Protocol (KP), and other National, Regional and International collaborations;
- Supporting establishment and maintenance of the relationship with National, Regional and International organizations, institutions and agencies;
- Leading development and maintenance of a register of Clean Development Mechanism projects;
- Participating in promotion and cooperation in development, application and diffusion, including transfer of technologies, practices and processes that control, or affect climate change in all the relevant sectors;
- Supporting education, training and public awareness programmes on climate change;
- Any other duties that may assigned from time to time.
